Carbon Fabrics

Carbon Fibre is a strong material that is also very lightweight. Carbon is five times stronger than steel and twice as stiff. With Carbon Fibre being stronger, stiffer and lighter than steel, it makes the ideal manufacturing material for many parts. Carbon Fibre filaments are supplied in a bundle of between 1,000 and up to 72,000 filaments (the filaments in Carbon are recognised by the letter K, 1K = 1000 filaments 3K = 3000 filaments).

The Benefits;

  • High in stiffness
  • High in tensile strength
  • Low weight to strength ratio
  • High in chemical resistance
  • Temperature tolerant to excessive heat
  • Low thermal expansion
